I was born in Surrey and moved to Cornwall in 1967. My particular interest in New Hall was sparked by David Holgate's first book 'New Hall and it's Imitators', and subsequently an all-consuming passion for searching out undiscovered patterns. This is a continuing exercise and I am extremely grateful to all those dealers and collectors who keep me updated on any new patterns that appear, sending photographs and details of marks etc. I have a list of all the known pattern numbers, updated at regular intervals as more patterns are discovered, and available free on request.
